"In enjoyed the change of pace of teaching courses to high school graduates. I found the students to be motivated and genuinely interested in personal success. I enjoyed the experience of teaching mathematics on a college campus."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"An interested person should expect to encounter a wide variety of students. In most cases, these students are motivated by the possibility of earning a degree. They deserve the best educators. As an interested applicant, I would recommend that he/she spend significant time developing mastery of his/her content area so that the highest quality program can be offered."

What don't you like about working at Central Pennsylvania's Community College?

"Working part time, I did not have extensive opportunities to develop significant professional relationships with co-workers."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I did not have an extensive opportunity to evaluate the quality of management. As a part-time employee teaching evening and summer courses, I did not have a complete view of the structure or effectiveness of management."

"supervisor, supervisory chain is toooooo long and convoluted, lack of transparency, no one knows who does what in admin"

"be more transparent. eliminate so many VPS and levels of admin. train supervisors to know what they are doing.take into account personalities before selecting someone to be a supervisor"

"Part time Job. Not being able to work late to help out a student before a test."

"Consider Full Time, or give more than 20 hours a week per tutor, many students need help"
