"I love most of the people I work with but there's one manager who has been antagonizing me since I started and a few days ago she removed hours from my timesheet and all they did was fix it. No consequences for her at all for commiting timecard fraud. Timecard fraud is a federal offense and Cracker Barrel apparently allows it."

"From the start, if you are on night shift you get slammed with dishes and pots that were left from the morning through the afternoon shift. It takes about a good 45 minutes to 1 hour to clear what should have been done beforehand. Almost all the time you are working by yourself they tell you in PAR Test working as a team but there is no "I" in "Team" No one wants to work dishes. they avoid it like the plague. Personally, witnessing over 6 dishwashers quit within a month "JUST DON'T DO IT" the dishwasher position will stress you out mentally and physically."

"I loved my job, my coworkers were nice, the food was delicious and we had plenty of customers but not enough workers. The managers wouldn't train properly because they were too busy. It was more like a crash course learn as you go type deal. There was one manager who would put stuff in the oven not tell anyone at least set the timer but when the timer went off your asking yourself in the middle of preparing food what's in the oven? Viola you have another job to do that you knew nothing about. Not very organized. I always had to work over my shift and I would not get a lunch break or they would spring something on me last minute causing me to stay over to complete the task. If I would ask for a lunch break they acted like it was an inconvenience. If I could eat I would be able to get more done! I tried calling the main office in Tennessee but they don't seem interested in addressing the issue. GIVE YOUR EMPLOYEES A LUNCH BREAK! They will be recharged and able to do more of what you ask of them."

"A very nice place to work. There is opportunity to growth, and moving up in the company means more options on location and variety in position. Good compensation and good people that very much follow the company vision of pleasing people. Most of the managers started at an entry level position-- my current manager started as a dishwasher."

"I have worked for Cracker Barrel for 7 years now. You will hear people say that their company treated you like family. Cracker Barrel doesn't because the people there are your family. I have never thought so highly of a company before but somehow they managed to select all the right people in their IT department"

"I am working for Cracker Barrel in their home office since Jan this year. Its an amazing workplace with a beautiful campus and I have learnt a lot here. The team is very diverse and management is engaging. The only reason I am looking for a change is because its located very far from the city and the commute is getting difficult for me"
