"I loved working for the Henry M. Jackson Foundation. My team members, my managers and the Program Manager were all wonderful people, with great senses of humor, generous in their attitude and with their time. The Navy officers I worked with were all unique individuals and I got along very well with all of them. Lastly, the work I did was interesting, important and widely-used by my team, and other departments on the base as well. I am sorry that I had to leave HJF in July, 2012. I had family issues that required me to move back to my hometown in L.A. If that personal issue had not come up, I would still be working with HJF. They are great people."

"Doing important work that makes a difference in the lives of our military servicemen & women."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be familiar with government contracting because even though my role was Finance, I spent most of my time initiating and monitoring contracts."

What don't you like about working at The Henry M. Jackson Foundation?

"Once my salary hit a certain level, I was basically told that that's it that I would be extremely limited in raises going forward. Also no chance for upward mobility unless I transferred to another program or to the headquarters, either option meant almost certainly relocating out of state."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"None, really. It is a great company doing fantastic work and they treat their employees well. It is not their fault that I hit the top of the pay band."

"The opportunity to work in the research and development arena."

"There is much more that I can offer other than to be yourself and observe what is around you at the company. You will see a lot more than you think that would give you an idea of the company culture."

What don't you like about working at The Henry M. Jackson Foundation?

"I dislike the lack of support from supervisor and overall management style when dealing with subordinates."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would suggest that management be very supportive and/ or open to new ways."

"I get a paycheck. I like some of my coworkers. There is a lot of good technology available."

"Use this as a stepping stone to another job. It is not really a place for a career."

"A lack of hierarchy. A boss with an out of control ego. Little room for career advancement."

"I would not allow my boss to be in charge of people."
