We've calculated that the average salary at Lutron Electronics is $60K based on 127 user-submitted salaries
A total of 12 Lutron Electronics employees gave Lutron Electronics an average happiness rating of 3.3 out of 5.0.
2.1Lutron only hires recent grads with 4.0 GPA or higher. Their hiring process is ridiculous. Several phone screens and face to face with roll playing that goes way past reality. Lutron's emphasis is on the mass production of light fixtures and controllers. SDLC is obviously new to this company of primarily EE and MBAs. The substantial software archive contains thousands of lines of undocumented code written by EEs without a doubt. Private owner's (pioneered dimmers) retirement is overdue (greater than 90).
3.9Lutron is the best lighting control company in the world. It is a demanding workplace with a unique culture that shines best in the development of new engineers and sales people.Experienced hires may have a challenge in adapting to the management style and company culture.
2.1I've worked at Lutron for two years now. The company is run as if it were still in the 1960's both in raises and in culture. The culture is oppressive and you're often forced to work overtime with zero compensation. There are some fantastic people working at Lutron though and it's the best in the lighting control systems market.
