2.3I'd like to share my experience with Luxoft Poland, and specifically about working with their customer - big Scandinavian bank - in Gdynia.
This appears to be not a real software company but just a bodyshop - they are renting you to their customers (in my case it was that Scandinavian bank). In fact after that, Luxoft steps away and your relations are only with this bank: you are working on their projects, sitting in their office, reporting to their managers.
If the project inside the bank closes - you will be the first to be kicked out. And if you are kicked - here starts the real fun. At this point you are no longer an "asset" for Luxoft - you're "liability": they should pay you salary but they don't get more for you from the customer. Even though they have stuff called "internal mobility" - in fact you have to start work for yourself again. You'll be interviewed by some other projects in other cities but they will all try to push on you for less salary. If in one month you didn't find the projects for yourself (and it's exactly what's happening - you are looking for the job for yourself, not Luxoft) - they will ask you to leave.
If you are a foreigner - you are getting even in more troubles there because it will take at least 12 months to get their local permit so you just legally stay there in Poland.
So below is the list of Pros and Cons I've identified for myself.
Pros:
Luxoft gave me good relocation package.
The team - the people I was working with - was very good, I love these guys.
My direct people manager was a real good guy.
Cons:
You are working on the customer site - not in Luxoft office - and we moved 3 times in the course of the year.
Because you're an external consultant the bank looks at you like you're nothing - just another "resource".
The work - 100% support of old ugly code - no chances to change something or rewrite something.
Luxoft management finds millions of excuses why your salary should not be increased.
Don't waste time on them!

Every project, team, account is different. Personally, I am completely satisfied with my 4-year career at Luxoft. I started as an intern and grew to Senior Test Engineer. Based on my experience at Digital Enterprise account I would say:
+ Internship in Luxoft is a good opportunity to start your IT career. The internship is paid and career growth is quick.
+ Luxoft offers a lot of training and online courses.
+Additional services (good medical insurance, doctor visits office weekly, half-paid English courses, consultations on accounting documents, office buses to metro stations, the supply of coffee, milk, cookies, etc.)
+ Business trips, internal mobility and relocation programs to other countries.

In such a big company there are usually fewer corporate events and it is more difficult to support global corporate culture and attract people to participate in different activities.
