"Some of the people were fantastic and very bright. Most of the people in IT were competent, but many have been there a long time and have not had exposure to many other technologies."

"If they are hiring, I would be surprised. The future there is uncertain, especially for IT. If they are bought, IT will probably be laid off. If they are not bought, the bank could eventually be taken over."

"I would wait. The outlook of Pacific Capital Bank does not look very good. I don't even know if it will last this year."

"It seemed as if there wasn't much leadership which allowed many projects to go in a bad direction. Career growth as well as compensation increases was put to a halt for the last 2 to 3 years."

"Changing the name of a department and shuffling duties around is not necessarily progress. Implementing individuals into roles to act as red tape is a waste of time and funds."
