"I've worked for Schlumberger since 2006 and have always been treated fairly. The ability to advance is highly dependent on meeting objectives and completing milestones. I have been offered many opportunities and worked with some excellent people and under the merit bonus/raise system. I do recommend this company."

"I worked in SLB for more than a year, and what they tell you aout "Work hard, play hard" is complete and absolutely true. I used to work on average 120 hours a week, staying up 28-30 hours. The money compensation corresponds to the amount of hours you're working. Definitely a completely work-oriented lifestyle. Depending on your professional and personal goals, this might be the best or worst fit for you."

"I've worked with Schlumberger since 2014. There are lot of opportunities for training and career advancement. However the current situation of the oil and gas industry has caused the company to have thousands of layoffs and location closures."

Software Engineer

"I worked for Schlumberger for 5 months. During my time there, I got a chance to work with an exceptional team of developers. Together, we built a new acquisition system. We would have a healthy constructive discussions about architecture and development choices. The managers were very easy to approach as well. Overall, I really liked working there. If it was not for oil war and COVID-19 pandemic, I would be working there as a Senior Software Engineer."

"I worked for Schlumberger as a Software Engineer Contractor for 5 months. My team in particular, was really good to work with. We would have constructive debates on architecture and other development decisions. My managers were very easy to work with. If it was not for the oil war and COVID-19 pandemic, my full time employment process would have gone through and I would be working as a Senior Software Engineer II there."

Manager

"Schlumberger is a company that likes to challenge you at every corner. as soon as you are comfortable with the job you are doing they will find a way to shake you up and trow you in the deep end, sink or swim situation. That was one of the reasons why I stayed in that company for so long. I need challenges to keep it fun. responsibility is given very early, I was managing a crew of 3 after 6 months. in 4.5 years I was a Field Service Manager managing a location with revenues of $50m and 120 people working under me."
