"Great place to work and improve."
"Great company to start your career with inside the gas and oil sector. You will have great opportunities to travel all over the world and learn all types of new things. They have a great training program but family and social time is not the greatest."
"Schlumberger is a great company to work for."
"I help people share their great work into the world by connecting Entrepreneurs and Creative people to take decisive actions so they can get their greatest work out there. It certainly would be interesting to help bring innovations and business models to market in all sectors. I help entrepreneurs and company leaders to create, grow and manage their businesses."
"A top heavy company. Most managers are move in and out within 3 years. No long term vision, only short term gains was concern."
"I believe Schlumberger is a good company to work for. But I also have seen the down side because I was a supervisor. They compensate you well for the work you are doing and their training is top notch to keep you and your co workers safe while doing your job."
"This is the best company you can ever wish to get a job at. The company's expectations of you are very high, but the reward is even higher. The company invests in all its employees and motivates them greatly to become the best at both their fields and any other field the employee desires. You will never, ever, be bored, and the career progression could be both a vertical or a horizontal progression depending on your desire."
"I worked for Schlumberger for 18 years. It is a great company to work for and ample opportunities for advancement. For young engineers just starting their career, Schlumberger would be an ideal place to start. Since it is also a global company, there is opportunities for international assignments. I would still be there if the choice was mine. Manufacturing is slow and there was no available position for me in the Houston area after my international assignment ended."
"I've worked for Schlumberger for 8 years. This company is a great company for its great focus on safety and quality."
"I've worked for Schlumberger from April 2012 and it was really a good learning experience"
"I enjoyed my time at Coil Tubing Serices. I will always think about my job there and how much I miss it."
"Schlumberger will not honor their agreement to lifetime medical treatment. If injured they will turn you over to Travelers Insurance which will deny treatment. Complaining to Schlumberger will get you a not our problem. Worker compensation laws will cost you years of legal action even if you have a contract for lifetime treatment. If you get injured sue them for every penny you can get. They do not honor contracts."
"I've worked for Schlumberger for 5 months as an equipment operator trainee. I have not been happy with the way they have treated me. It has been somewhat of a hostile work environment. There have been quite a few broken promises about pay and paid time off. The benefits and hours are almost the only thing good about working at Schlumberger."
"Terrible."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Understand you will not use a college degree and will work all the time. Recruiters lie a lot. It will pay a lot but you must sell you life and soul."
What don't you like about working at Schlumberger?
"The schedule is very hard because it is 12 days on and 2 days off. You are lucky if you get your 2 days off. The stress is terrible. A lot of it is because of management, but no one knows the rules but everyone expects you to follow them. The management here is very 2 faced and will do whatever they can to move up. They only care about work. They could care less about safety standards or people's well being. They also have canceled people's vacation because there is work that can be done. The job is stressful, dirty, physically demanding and requires long hours. It is doable with a supportive manager and crew."
