"I worked for Terracon 2.6 months and was great"
"I worked with Terracon since May 2018. I found the company to be strong and resourceful. The company is nationwide with more than 250 offices across US, involving in geotechnical, environmental and civil design projects."
"I have worked with Terracon since 2019. It's a great company. Terracon's engineers advance very high-quality geotechnical engineering services. For Terracon, safety is the most important factor."
"They are a good company for some people."
"I've worked for Terracon (formerly Earth Exploration, Inc.) for over 2 years now. The company itself places a high value on safety on and off the job. The benefits are decent. The downside is that work can inconsistent and depending on your location the quality of leadership can vary as well."
"Good company to work for!"
"Awful company to work for. You will be stretched to your breaking point with too many hours in the summer and then laid off or cut to 20 hrs/week in the winter. Your salary will be below average and your raises will not match cost-of-living hikes. No work truck to take home (unlike their competitors). If your chargeability drops below 85%, you will be let go. Holidays, vacation, sick days, skill-improvement time all count AGAINST your chargeability. Company vehicles outfitted with GPS devices that screech when you break traffic rules. Benefit package is decent (best thing about the company) but taking your vacation days will lead to you being let go. It might work for a single person, with below-average skills and below-average expectations, but for anyone with self-respect, Terracon will be a disappointment."
"Terracon is a top-heavy, lower tier engineering and consulting company spread across the US. It's a decent place to work if you're senior management, but at the technical and project level they are mercenary hires. You will work 80 hrs/week during the summer and be released once it slows down in winter. I would ONLY work at Terracon if 1) I had no family to support 2) I was looking to gain some lower-end experience in the engineering/consulting field 3) I had no offers from anybody else."
"A mutualy benifitial relationship with high job satisfaction"
