What do you like about working at MedTech?
"I truly enjoy the job as it is supposed to be (helping students be successful) and I love my co-workers. We work together as a team to work toward our goals and we have all become very close."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I like the company itself, but avoid admissions and ask a lot of questions regarding the day to day of the position."
What don't you like about working at MedTech?
"The overall attitude of our corporate structure that does not value its employees at all levels. The stress to enroll every student (even if they are not meant for the medical field) and to hit a quota every month is very stressful and does not allow for any vacation/personal time. The work/home percentage is about 90/10 and the pressure of the job leads to a great deal of stress."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Respect your staff and partner with them to be more successful in reaching monthly goals. Give constructive criticism to help staff improve on techniques. Allow for more of a work/home life balance."
What do you like about working at Argosy University?
"Being among faculty that truly care about the students and their success"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"My role is a 2 to 3 year sales job, without sales bonuses. It is referred to as a customer service job, which is how I treat it, but it is a sales job - all about applications, and hundreds of phone calls a week to the same potential students that may pick up the phone on the 50th try, 8 months, in a row of calling them. Absolutely no job security, constant 'Start' stress, and poor leadership."
What don't you like about working at Argosy University?
"Money focused to appease Stockholders - STOCKHOLDERS!. Feels like Argosy wants to become a diploma mill. What is promised to the students is not delivered. I do believe in the Programs, and the professors, but the academic focus went away when it became a publicly traded company: EDMC."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Invest in the academics - build strong reputable programs to drive business"

"My co-workers, their tuition reimbursement policy, very nice break room."

"Well, I believe they are in the process of filing for bankruptcy, so I would not recommend that at this time."

"The vision of the company, lack of academic integrity, hard to have voice heard."

"None for the management, but I feel the administration has a lot of work to do to improve the integrity of the institution."

"Some of the people, the satisfaction of assisting someone in continuing their education and changing their life."

"Good luck. You'll need it. There's not much you can do to be successful except not say anything, and don't rock the boat."

"The lack of support and resources. Corporate structure was lacking on desire to listen to lowest level feedback, or institute any immediate changes."

"Listen to those who complain the loudest - their ideas are often just the thing you need to be successful."

"I made me more thick skinned, especially when calling leads."

"stress all selling techniques especially consultative selling. Stress your sales success."

"The leads that were provided kept becoming worse in quality as time went on."

"Make quotas more realistic in accordance to leads generated and present economy."

What do you like about working at Milan Institute?
"I had great co-workers and instructors dedicated to educating every student that came in to the school. Everyone truly cared and we held the highest licensure and placement rates of the entire company."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Milan is a great company to work for but make sure that the school you interview for is considered a midsize or large school. There is more chance for opportunities for growth and promotion at those schools. Also, having a great personality and an enthusiam to help people to suceed their goals and dreams is essential for this field."
What don't you like about working at Milan Institute?
"There was no ability for growth or promotion at a small school like mine. When I was hired, I wasn't trained, just told to read all the policies and procedures in admissions and sit in on the other reps interviews to see how it was done. It took me longer than average to adjust to this business as I didn't have any experience prior."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Make sure that every new person is trained the same way so that no one is penalized for lack of knowledge. Keep communication lines open even if the news that needs to get shared is not good news. Don't tell an employee false information knowingly even if you feel that it is in their best interest at that time."

"There seems to be stability and has an established reputation."

"Just be yourself, make sure to show your ability to hold an intelligent conversation."

"There doesn't seem like there is much room for any growth opportunities."

"Come up with new incentives or programs to keep the employees motivated to do their jobs every day."

"I love the people I work with, we all get along and support each other well."

"We work hard, (which isn't a bad thing). Very gossipy and petty environment."

"Management and opportunity for growth stinks. People get passed over for promotion by those who are less qualified."

"Better recognize and reward great employees. Hire from within and don't pretend that we are not the driving force of the company."

"I enjoyed helping students achieve their educational goals. I also liked going to the different high schools and giving presentations."

"A person interviewing for this position must have compassion for others and possess the ability to sell an intangible product."

"The hours forced me to work Nights and weekends. The healthcare coverage was very poor."

"Management needs to come up with a better and more fair lead generation system to be dispersed properly."

"Sometimes dealing with the public can be frustrating. They can be very unpredictable, and at times I am held accountable for the bad decisions they make."

"To give more praises for a job well done, and to give clear instructions during meetings."
