"Great company with outstanding benefits and opportunities!"
"I've worked at ARUP Laboratories since 2016. It was just awarded one of the best companies to work for. They have great health benefits with a clinic and gym on-site"
"Worst career mistake of my life. They appear to have better than average benefits on the surface, but the health care is poor, deductibles high, with ever increasing benefit costs and lower coverage. If you can talk a good talk without ever accomplishing real work, then you can shine in this environment. If you truly care about patient safety, employee safety, and continuous improvement, then this is not the place for you."
"ARUP provides a relaxed environment, however, growth opportunities are very limited."
"I started working at ARUP back in 2013. The company has a fun environment with easy going people. The only downside as a whole of the company is its lack of ability to pay for what some of the positions are worth. I know in my one position alone I have worked the position of 4 jobs for the price of two-thirds of the worth of even one of those positions."
"ARUP was ranked a great place to work. My job as a Processing Tech was at the bottom of the totem pole. It was hard to progress anywhere unless you were going into the medical field."
What do you like about working at ARUP Laboratories?
"Great Benefits, good coworkers, flexible schedules. It's a good atmosphere and most of the time you feel like the company cares about it's employees."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Most of the lab positions are very detail oriented. If you're more of a big picture person, you may not be very successful here."
What don't you like about working at ARUP Laboratories?
"Those great benefits, while still great, have been steadily eroding over the past couple years. It's hard for someone without 10 years on the job to get a good schedule with free weekends. Once you've learned the tests, there isn't much challenge to the work."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I don't know if I would do anything differently or not. The only think I can think of is trying harder to avoid cutting employee benefits."
