"I worked for asplundh for about six months, to this date it’s the worst job I’ve ever had. There were some nice things about it, 4 day work weeks, super cool boss, and a few good Foreman and trimmers. But that does not make up for the terrible ones. There is almost zero opportunity for growth in this company after you become a foreman and the higher up’s don’t care about you one bit. There is not one person I worked with that didn’t talk about how badly they wanted to quit. They do not truly train new employees, it’s more like a learn as you go and hope your foreman feels like teaching you something that day. It is a cool job and I’ll give them that, but it’s not worth the pay you will receive."
"I have worked for Asplundh Construction, I gained some new drafting skills from in a fast paced environment especially since we were remote and had to train ourselves to the changes that were coming."

"I've worked for Asplundh Construction for 2 years. I've been given the opportunity to work in several departments and have had the absolute freedom to learn. One of the best things about this company is its willingness to train its employees to be well rounded."
"I worked for these ridiculous people for a year before I quit, it started off great, and got worse by the day. Started with constantly getting poison ivy, no big deal, I liked the money, they took care of the shots and "claimed" to have handled the bills, led to terrible equipment falling apart around us, from faulty climbing equipment causing a few of us to fall out of trees, got around to more crews, they would hang out in the dog box, or the box attached to the box bed. And would smoke, not cigarettes, boss didn't care, just moved me again. The supervisor loved to fire people for no reason, always trying to intimidate and ultimatum for your job. Fights are regular, the foreman, Leadman, all of them are drop out power hungry idiots. They have no clue how to treat employees. Or customers. I walked off of many sites after watching trees get butchered. I found out prison ivy is an Oshawa recordable and they weren't recording apparently and when I asked about it, they threatened my job. Moved me to a new position hanging cards and info on home owners doors ahead of work dates. They began to fail to pay me on time so I refused to work without my pay, they continued, I mentioned small claims court, they paid. I told them I was quitting and they said no. You're fired. Called me numerous names over the phone told me I was a piece of sh**, told me to get f*****, and kept going and going until I hung up. They still took forever to send my final pay check. And with it they sent me every medical bill to date that had not been payed. I threatened with court, yet again. But this time at an attorney's office. They quickly handled bills and never spoke to me again. Just gave me a very bad name upon anyone who calls for a reference. Causing me issues to this day. Over all a terrible, over payed, under educated group of morons ruining trees and anything in their path day by day."
"Horrible employer from top to bottom who treats their employees even worse than the customers. You do not want to work here. Very shady bunch of people."
"They don't go by hard work, education or seniority to move up in company."
