"Be honest, be open and ask as many questions that you can think of. They will provide you with lots of info but only if asked."
What don't you like about working at BNY Mellon?
"Extremely politically correct to the point of practically discriminating against while males. My dismissal was due to errors I made caused by a neurological condition I was diagnosed with while at BNY. When I informed them, via communication from my doctor, that I suffered from my condition and that at my doctors recommendation they move me to a position within the organization that would downplay the effects of my condition the management left me in the position I was in knowing I would continue to have issues and then terminated me for those issues. When I asked why they did not assign me to another role they told me that they did not make those types of accommodations even though they were required by law."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The person I reported to was a competent manager in terms of quoting corporate policy and enforcing the rules but he had absolutely know skills in handling employees from a human perspective. When I told HR that during my exit interview they acknowledged that the bank was more concerned with teaching the rules rather than teaching people skills. They need to teach their managers to be better at human relations."
