4.4For over four years, I have been a tutor at C2. I have found the experience to be rewarding, and refreshing. The overall attitude towards helping students reach their highest potential is pervasive, throughout the company. In addition, as a teacher, I have found that I am appreciated by our clients (students and parents), as well as the staff.
My concern is with the education system in general, and not specific to my company. I fear that the Covid-related shut down has had, and will continue to have, a negative impact on teaching and tutoring. This is unfortunate, because I very much enjoy being a teacher.
3C2 Education has been in the educational program management business for over 20 years. The company is constantly evolving, however, there are operational challenges in the workplace that you may not obtain the additional support for. It is oftentimes a one man show or definitive working outside of operating hours for the center director to ensure minimal issue and success. There are still a lot of piloting that need to take place to show that you may need additional support which can be incredibly frustrating if you are stretched thin.
3.2I've worked for C2 Education for almost a year now, and their staff and team development is poorly organized. The management structure is superficial, to be polite, and selling the product is primary to client happiness, which is a poor choice for long term development in an education filed. There is much potential with the company if they revisit their priorities and work to fix inefficiencies when it comes to daily operations for center management. The worst incidents with this employer have been between education coordinators and their center directors with regards to inappropriate gender and racial profiling, derogatory comments, and belittling of staff (of which I
only have secondhand knowledge in, no first hand experience of this discrimination).
