High Country Furniture & Design Employee

"The ability of departments to work together as a team to solve problems are often undermined by the owners. The potential for advancement seems contingent upon your willingness to provide blame and negative information about your coworkers. This blame philosophy has contributed to the current state of low morale among staff. The owners themselves are responsible for creating the current toxic atmosphere and internal strife among co-workers and departments. As a department manager, I rarely felt support from the owners and often found they would encourage and reward subordinates to circumvent the chain of command. The owners seem more focused on assigning blame than solving legitimate problems. On a positive note, I made many fantastic friends of both coworkers and customers. The staff (Sales, Admin, and warehouse), are very professional and try to do their best for the company."
