However, the organization and the lack of resources was a negative aspect. In a personal matter, I gained lots of experience in manufacturing processes and made good friends there. "Work at developing (or farming) your own direct leads that you can take back to the dealer for them to develop and grow."

"To offer better opportunity for personal advancement. Not to manage others but opportunity for self-development which would provide more money annually."

"set a growth target and let the territory manager grow it. If he/she is unsuccessful, replace him/her. Reward performance"

"Toward the end, the recession hit and it was a panic to trim budgets and expenses at any cost, compromising the integrity of the distribution network I was managing."

"Return to your roots and begin accepting the feedback from your 1st and 2nd line managers. Also, don't micro or overmanage your employees, if they have earned the position, allow the latitude to do their jobs."
