"I can’t recommend working here if you want to advance or feel valued. Poor leadership, savage micromanagement and stress overshadow any joy the gardens may provide."
"Just exhausting. What we were asked to accomplish vs. the support we were provided by the division heads and the organization was absurd. Hard work is only rewarded with more hard work. Division leaders generate pointless busywork and micromanage what their managers have well in hand. My boss seemed more of an obsolete figurehead propped up by more experienced managers to whom he delegated all relevant work. Unfortunately, it’s folks like these who reap the rewards at this organization. In ten years, I witnessed nearly 100% turnover in what was supposed to be the “next generation” of young leadership (eight managers) due to a toxic and thankless work environment. I don’t think any message has been received or any meaningful change(s) made despite the exodus."
"Leadership is overly comfortable with mediocre results from quo practices."
