"Good company and good culture."
"I started working for UnitedHealth in 2009 in the Ingenix division and quickly adapted to the culture of a large company. Early on I discovered the direction the company was going which was to be a major health insurance carrier and be a major technology company focused on improving the lives of people. Optum became the technology arm and was willing to invest in new and emerging areas. It was very exciting to see a major company use its assets to aid in research and another area that touched so many people. Great place to work with lots of opportunities."
"Excellent organization with leading edge methods of transforming the health care system."
"I began my career in the United Health Group in 2015 and align with the organization’s goals and customer focus."
"This is a great company with many opportunities to move around within the company."
"Lots of opportunity to learn and grow. Work/Life balance does not seem to be a priority."
"Huge company with a mature culture and work process."
"Good company for freshers to start with career"
"I have worked at United Health Group(UHG) since 2010. UHG is a pivotal leader in healthcare solutions and sets industry standard on how to deal with healthcare data. It provides a competitive and healthy environment to all of the employees. They go by a motto of "your life's best work" which speaks for itself."
"I’ve worked for Optum Specialty Pharmacy, a subsidiary of United Health Group for 5 years. Employee collaboration is phenomenal. Employees work to help each other to resolve issues to better improve the overall experience of their patients. The company culture promotes ideas and learning regardless of whether you might be an expert in pharmacy benefits or a novice. Understand that because this company is part of the healthcare industry, you will work hard and during the winter and fall months, overtime is mandatory and expected. The company is improving employee relations by providing discounts for a healthier way of living. If you enjoy new challenges, helping others and hard work, this might be a career for you."
"The company offers good benefits and an excellent work environment."
"Optum is a company that has corporate backing, but an entrepreneurial environment. We have an outstanding culture here and the Boston office is very young/vibrant. Cons are at times you feel that the company can progress slower than desired, but that is the nature of most large corporations."
"The culture at Optum, as a whole, is pretty good. They do a good job of engaging their employees and make developing connections easy with plenty of activities. Their compensation and bonus package (even at excellent rating) fell a bit short. Our company was acquired by Optum and then our client were migrated, leaving many in our office out of work, and the others fearing for their jobs."
"Worked for the company since 2016. The company has a lot of positive things like good benefits package, stock options purchasing contribution. Work from home option for some positions. New technologies training opportunities. Employees are encouraged to cross-train and free to move other teams and departments if other positions become available. Great pool of smart people available to guide you if you are willing to learn. Overall nice environment to work."
