"Because of the manic pace and nature of the office, I wear more hats than my job title implies. However, the reason this review is being typed at all is because I was making $4200 per month in hourly and commissions and after six months, I informed the owners I was getting burned out; either structural changes to operations needed to happen or I needed more money. A two step pay increase was put into effect; $6000 monthly salary immediately and $9000 monthly salary in 60 days. However, no documents were signed attesting to this.
Two months later, I followed up on our agreement and was told they needed to push our agreement back another 60-120 days. When I replied that wasn't right, and why did I have to learn by asking them, they put an ad up on craigslist to replace me.
If you raise enough of a stink, they'll pay you more. However, get it in writing with firm dates."
