"I was started in the middle of the salary range for this position, but was expected to lead a team that included persons in the same job as I was (same pay grade), that were making more than me. It was also unfortunate that during the interview process, I was given hell about them starting me in the middle, yet after I was hired my manager kept talking about how they had to hire me quickly before another department had the opportunity, because they would have paid better.
