2.3Do not work here. Find something else. The high employment turnaround will show you early on that this place is not worth it. I worked at Prospect Airport Services in Romulus Mi, for 10 months. I worked midnights. I took the midnight schedule because at the time it was more pay because it is more work and also because of the shift premium. They tell you that you will be cleaning planes, but what they don't tell you is it is your job to complete the security check; the planes that you will be working on during the midnight shift are planes that sit at the airport overnight. These planes require a security check. I'm not going to go into full detail on what it is to security check a plane, and all its sections, but what I will go into detail about is the vets/OG workers that were there. I was one of them. Prospect's midnight employees consist of two types of people. You are either the people who have been there for a while and know the job inside and out and are fast at the job, or you are the brand new blueberry just starting out. I have been with them since November of 2017, and I have seen it all. People who cannot make it through the night their first day and quit, like the lazy younger folk who come in and don't understand the dynamics of supervisor/team lead roles. It is common for Prospect to hire just anybody because they can't keep employees. So be ready to work 10 times harder because of lazy people coming in and not wanting to do their jobs. It is common that the brunt of the work falls on 2 or 3 people out of a 6 to 7 person team all night because the other workers of the team are new or lazy. They disappear inside the airport or go to the vans when they feel their work is done. They don't understand that even though you are assigned a section of the plane to do, your job is not done after your section is done. Your job is only done after the whole plane is done.
2.5SeaTac was good and had a good manager. New management not now. I worked the airport and we do not know new manager's name. He worked for months. He does not talk to us. He does not help us like our old manager did. He walks with his boss to look at us when we're busy, we need help and management never helps. I feel we mean nothing to prospect. The supervisor helps. Not the lady supervisor who trains us. She does the same as our manager.
1.5Management sucks, people are lazy as heck. They start people off without training properly and then the leads get in trouble when someone doesn't know what they're doing, how are we supposed to train someone when we're getting planes back to back every 5 minutes or less. It's all BS and no one knows how to communicate. Control sucks. Supervisors are worse and don't get me started on management.
