What do you like about working at RiceTec?
"I was a self motivated, self diciplined manager. My boss came to the plant maybe once per month. I was allowed to tell them what I needed, justify it, and they would supply the funds to do the project."
What don't you like about working at RiceTec?
"The CEO was hung up on the corporate mentallity that if you did not have a college degree you were not a good candidate for the position offered, so my opportunities were limited even though I build the manufacturing side of the business from hand packaging in an old barn to high speed packaging equipment in a state of the art facility of which I built and managed all capital projects."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I am an advocate of education, but open your mind and see that just because your partents couldn't buy a college degree for you dosen't mean you can't do the job."
