"Worked for SDL for over 10 years, primarily in customer facing roles. Company has shifted away from technology and more toward services. So if you are interested in translation services, an excellent choice. If you are interested in technology, do your due diligence. Company treats employees very well and not very political environment, although more politics crept in during the past 5 years."

"Good people all around. big trouble with offshore component. Some people working there had know clue what they were doing and management wasn't very good at informing them."
"I have worked with SDL for years... it is an unorganized place full with office politics. the only good thing is the people... some how SDL manage to bring a great group of people together but choose the worst managers."
"I currently work for SDL. SDL help companies capitalize on the potential of the Internet to improve their customers experience. My current position is UX Visual Designer. Inside the UX team of the company, I am responsible for the generation of visual concepts for interfaces of products, with a specific focus on information architecture and visual design. Because job positions I've had, I've always worked directly with Senior Leaders."
"SDL isn't a bad place to work. It's just a straight 9 to 5 office job. Not lots of pressure but salaries are substandard. Very small office most people have been there forever. My current manager is kind of like what Darth Vader and Saddam Hussein's love child would grow up to be like. It's the only real negative aspect of working there. Quality of life is good. You can go to lunch for an hour and a half if you want to. Excitement in any form whatsoever is nonexistent."
