Senior Manufacturing Supervisor at UTS Carrier LLC
in Bartlett, TN

What do you like about working at UTS Carrier LLC?

"Mainly the opportunity to work for a fortune 500 company, and all the benefits this company had to offer. E.g. sign on bonus, 100% tuition paid, great medical plan."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you should ever interview with the Carrier plant in Collierville, Tn. Please get more information on the management style of this plant through your tour there. These are the worst managers I have ever worked for in my career so far. A good company, but bad management at this plant definitely!!"

What don't you like about working at UTS Carrier LLC?

"Well the Collierville plant In Tennessee was definitely a horrible experience for me. I was very impressed when I first came down for the interview and the tour that was given. But once I accepted the job and actually started working for the company, there was a lot things that really fooled me and disappointed me as well. Poor management, a weak and dirty union organization and definitely a lot of sexual harrassment going on at this plant."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Well I feel that the Collierville plant definitely needs to clean house and start with a fresh new management team. The plant manager and operation manager was the worst group of managers that I have ever worked for in my career. They definitely werent positive role models for their employees, I felt that neither of these managers were well qualified for these positions because they didnt have the skills necessary to perform their job effectively and lead the team for the company where they needed to go to succeed within the organization. I didnt feel a climate of honesty or trust with these two, and they definitely werent people of their words on anything that had to be done there. A lot of my co-workers and myself were very unhappy with these managers. And I think a lot were happy (including myself) when they had to downsize back here in '07. These two managers should of been the first to go. I think that the UTC family Is a great organization to work for, but I feel that this organization should be very selective of whom they choose or think they feel would be an assest to this company versus hendering It and having a lot of employees with a lot of low morale issues. Good management team makes an organization successful not a poor, non-qualified one that's for sure."
