"It is a great place to work if you can tolerate the cyclic nature of the investment funds put into the technology."

"It seemed as though there were few financial controls, we burned through a lot of investor cash."

"Get on top of controlling the cash flow, spend wisely, as though it was your own money."

"We were laid off due to over bidding some of the big jobs for Hewlett Packard. The jobs were given to SCI in Huntsville Alabama"

"The management that proposes bids should have been looking at making a little money on lots of projects instead of one lump sum"

"Run away."
What don't you like about working at IBM?
"I worked there for 11 years and was unhappy most of the time. The management in VT knows there are no other places to go in the area and treat you poorly. There is an overlying extremely negative attitude throughout the entire plant which can get to you after a while. Opportunity for advancement is nil unless you're in the good ole boys club. Jobs that are posted are not really open, just a formality as the person has already been picked and if it's a management position, the ex-managers who were pushed aside during layoffs and given useless staff positions are slid back into management. This stifles all growth within the plant. If I sound negative about IBM, I am. It's the worst place I have worked."

"Purge the management and the old ideals. Start treating people as people instead of a commodity."
