"I've worked for Serco-NA for 2.5 years and have found them to be an excellent company, but would have liked to work more on projects for a greater period of time. The work is on-again and off-again, but that is the nature of a contract Civil Engineer/Site Inspector. A good company that pays well and is well represented by good employees."
"Serco is an amazing place to work. I have been here for almost two years now and I enjoy it more and more every day. The people here are so nice and we always find ways to make work fun for everyone."
"i've worked there for 4 months and they had very poor communication with their worker"
"Say you get 6 months to figure out the role, but after 2.5 months they were already letting me go. Very bad at communicating goals and production targets."
"Working a longer term contract position. Good company with good benefits. Hours are based on client requirements, but company is very flexible with employee needs. I'm not sure about advancement or pay increases, as I've had exposure to neither."
"Fun and exciting place to work."
"Serco is a great place to get your foot in the door!!! Great people"
"Working at Serco was a challenge. I thought it was great for individuals who are right out of college; however, after a year, it was time to move to something more career aspiration driven. Sometimes, enlisted tasks became expected of us - on a normal basis - which disallowed the ability to focus on database/software engineering. I do still talk with co-workers, which was one of the best benefits of starting off with this job."
"Working for this company gave me an excellent sense of teamwork as I only experienced serving in the Army. We were contract to work for the US Army Human Resources Command in Alexandria, VA. I still have friendships with many of my previous co-workers and we all acted like family every day while we were at work. I really enjoyed working for Serco and I have recommended that company to several of my fellow service members."
"This was a great starting job right out of college; however, as time went on, management started to get very rough. This was an awakening for myself , as well as an awakening for the other software engineers). As a result, we decided to find better, lucrative careers that were more promising for our careers' aspirations."
"Serco offers great benefits.Good if you want to work temporary jobs."
"I was originally an employee of SI International, Inc, which merged with Serco NA in December 2008. Both companies were and are companies who pride themselves in employing top quality IT professionals. Serco NA is the North American branch of Serco, a British-based company that works with government agencies."
"Laid off at task completion---not much support from management."
"I have worked for Serco for almost 2 years and made changes to the Network department which proved to be a success. The Network department had 7 team members that reported to me.The team were responsible for Network operations at The European Space Operations Centre and also responsible for installing new technologies."
