"It's a great workplace, but management needs to be a little more sympathetic with employees overall, they are very political and promise you a ton in front of others but deliver very little."
"I worked as an Inside Sales Representative at SHI International for fourteen months. The company taught me how to conduct B2B telephone sales and present presentations to new and existing customers. The four week training was learning how to cold call, negotiate, identify sales opportunities, create quotes in SalesCenter 2009, and keep track of opportunities in CRM Software. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to be an Account Executive or Sales Representatives because I got a lot of training and my manager taught me how to deliver world class customer service."
"Great place to work that gives you the ability to network across several different companies, access to high compensation and room to move internally."

"In my 10 months at SHI, I have been offered an opportunity and built wonderful relationships with my managers and teammates. However, the senior leadership at the company is unorganized and does not value their subordinates. It’s a great company for starting out, but do not recommend this environment for building a career."
"I have worked for SHI for five years, and couldn't be happier with my experience there. It was a perfect place to cut my teeth, and more importantly learn about the entire scope of an IT infrastructure, selling anything from cables, to entire cloud based-SaaS data center solutions."
"I have worked for SHI International for about a year and a half now, and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I have learned so much in this period of time, which is priceless towards my growth as a professional. SHI hires some of the best people I have ever met, which is key to a proud working environment. Great personalities run all throughout the company, which I believe are vital to success."
"Had a great time working for SHI but unfortunately the situation changed."
"It all depends on your account list you get from your district sales manager. They have an ideal client set but most of the accounts given to you aren't the "ideal accounts" they want you working. You will also struggle internally with their inside sales reps in their SMB group located in Austin, TX. You don't work with them, you compete with them. You don't have territory, you have named accounts. It's a very slow process to get ramped up and you won't see real money for a year or two."

What don't you like about working at SHI International?
"SHI still uses internal systems. Despite being a software reseller and tech company, SHI still uses DOS Mainframe for the sales reps to enter their orders. There is no ERP system to provide transparency among the departments. SHI sells licenses for SAP, SAS, and various business solution platforms but too cheap to utilize these systems, as a result the data and information is quite flawed."
