"Don't try and BS the technical, even if you're talking to the Marketing, they really know how the technology works and will mop the floor with a fresh grad engineer."

"Upper management was continually changing the companies direction to find new customers, instead of focusing on what we were doing well to keep our current customers."

"Focus on what your customers like best about Spansion, your products superior quality and customer support. Plus stop trying to remake the company into something it isn't; you make great flash, outsource the rest."

"Customer exsposure, education on products and working with the marketing people."

"Promote people on performance and not on the good old boy network. That is a hard thing for any company to accomplish. When times get bad having people in the field at the customer location I think is key, not sitting in the office doing feed the lion paper work."
