Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Don't do it. You will only regret it down the line"
What don't you like about working at STEP Strategy Advisors?
"- Employees degraded, made to feel inadequate, and humiliated in front of the entire company on a DAILY basis- Deals never close because management sabotages them due to sheer incompetence- Management bullies clients that will never work with management ever again- Turnover at the company is outrageous. Well over 100% turnover per year. (7-10 people at the firm depending on rate of turnover and there have been more than 20 people that have come and gone over the past two years). - Office was absolutely a mess. Management refuses to implement digital document management process. Too much overhead. Office littered with paper printed decades ago.- Interview process consists of waiting for 1-3 hours in the conference room until management decides to show up. Recruiters will not even work with management anymore.- Pay was well BELOW market rate. Promises of bonuses are largely unfulfilled. Management will promise anything to get you in the door with no intention of actually keeping those promises.- No process whatsoever with regards to company advancement and training- Asking for a raise is tantamount to treason- Promises of healthy working hours (i.e. less than 12 hours a day) are blatantly disregarded- Company culture is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE due to management's bullying tactics. Management does not care about the personal lives of employees at all. - 5 days of sick/vacation days per year and 7 observance days (4th of July, Labor Day, New Year's day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Yom Kippur, and Rosh Hashannah only). All are given at the whim of management, no guarantees and no ability to plan ahead. - Pay period is once a month and checks NEVER come on time (at worst 8 days late).- Extreme micro-management, employees can never get anything done because management is always requiring a litany of progress reports to be created multiple times daily.- Management tries to run three business simultaneously, but refuses to hire the appropriate staff to handle the workload. Again, Too much overhead.- Not enough office space, employees are crammed into rooms"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Look at the cons section and change, it's the only way to ever get employees to stay at the firm and actually want to be there. Every employee I have spoken with has similar complaints, but they are too afraid to say anything due to the litigious nature of management."
