"Overall it is a pretty good company it just depends who you work under and how understanding they are of your current situation. I was under a few really great managers but the last one just had it out for me unfortunately. I don't place blame, I of course take responsibility for my own actions but not all personalities will mesh well together."
"Sutherland is best for me because the people there are very nice and they are comfortable o work with. I would surely recommend them to others."
"I've worked for his company for six years producing significant sales volume, meeting quotas, and having a great experience. I enjoyed the people I work with and still feel the same way about them even though I've moved on."
"I worked for Sutherland Global since 2008; not only have I been given the chance to move forward within the company but I've also been given the opportunity to participate in Six Sigma and Master Coaching. Sutherland acknowledges all the hard work their teams do and rewards in many ways which continues the drive in us."
"Great company. though they can pay other non US employees less than my salary hence why I will make my transition."
"Sutherland is a great company with a healthy work culture, and a comfortable and professional environment."
"I’ve worked with Sutherland from 2012. Sutherland is a safe welcoming environment. There are plenty of opportunities for growth at Sutherland locally as well as globally. Sutherland develops people and processes in every major industry. It’s a great company to work for to grow your own way and focus on your career."
"It’s a nice place to work had its pros and cons"
"I have been SHS for 13 years & never had a day wherein it felt like an office. It was an home atmosphere and I had great time with the team members, my peer and my Supervisor. I recommend this to people."
"Here's my personal experience...I worked fro Sutherland Global for 1.56 years and I am not making this stuff up. For ANYONE involved with this company I advice and greatly encourage you to look at ALL your previous w2 on your federal taxes as well as ALL your bank deposits...Not to get into my personal dealings...THIS IS A WARNING... SEVERE tax fraud. The IRS & SSA have numbers which are different from the data I received after fighting tooth and nail for my raw data financial earnings. Just HEADS UP...they ARE LECHEROUS, DEVIOUS, SAY ANYTHING KIND OF COMPANY. beware and be aware."
"Pros: Coworkers make the day go by quick. Benefits are okay. Downtown location. Cons: Managers are horrible and fake. They act like they care but they are too busy gossiping. Coaches try and micromanage everything you do. If you catch them on a bad day, they will use it to their advantage. You talk to racist dumb American customers who don't want to listen to anyone with an accent. People who should have been fired stay because they are friends or smoke with management. Human Resources is NOT on your side and will nail you to the cross if they have to. The building is old and they don't follow protocol (fire alarms, constant power outages, no ac in summer and no heat in winter sometimes) unless you complain to Ministry of Labour. Turn over is high. Lots of the people you meet, you may not see them after 3 months if they don't perform. Conclusions: Get your stuff together and learn to communicate. Stop hiring frat boys as senior management who don't do anything. Try to improve your reputation as one of the worst companies to work for in Windsor. Everyone in town knows it."
"I have worked for Sutherland for over 2 years, working within an amazing global team! There are always opportunities for those who reach for advancement and put the work into developing themselves. Targets are challenging, but achieving them is equally as rewarding."
"Sutherland Global refuses to recognize my marriage of 35 years. I have submitted a marriage certificate between my wife and I but my marriage was denied by Sutherland Global. My marriage has been recognized by the IRS and the state for over 35 years!"
"This is the place for you. If you are looking for an ambition killing, soul crushing taste of modern day slavery. Bathe in self loathing as your skin festers sitting in a filthy grease caked chair for 9 hours. Feel your humanity withering away every time you are forced to give bad service to AT&T customers. The managers and coaches provide frequent chances to be treated like garbage and summoned like a pig to the slaughter house being written up for even the most minor infraction. One minute too long on break? One percent over on your call stats? No problem! One free reading of the Riot Act for 20 minutes to really drive it into you that you are worthless. And if that isn't enticing enough, watch in awe as day by day you create a black hole on your resume that will NEVER be supported by a job reference from Sutherland or their managers, EVER."
"I worked for this company for almost 3 months. I was very hesitant to work for Sutherland because of their hiring process and the environment was just very unprofessional. The person that interviewed me asked me a couple of questions about my work experience and the standard customer service questions. This man had his cell phone with him constantly looking at his phone texting and even cussed because I guess he was annoyed by the texts he was getting. Anyway they offered me the job right on the spot. When I started working there, we were told that it's great advancement and they really care for their employees. The longer I stayed there the more I realize that was untrue. For starters, the training was horrible. My trainer was fine but the training curriculum was terrible. We spent more time learning about things that really weren't that important than learning about how to navigate their complicated systems. When we finally got on the production floor, there were little to no help. They tell us to use our resources but it's so much to read that you can't decipher what to use. There was really no help at all. When I finally got to my team, my manager was very unengaging. We never had any one on one meetings, she never was present. She was always either at a meeting or she was elsewhere talking to someone else. She was never there to manage her team. One night my manager calls me to her desk and tells me quality monitored my call and told me I didn't verify the customers can be reached number. That is something we have to do on every call. I wasn't shown anything, I didn't listen to the call. I didn't sign anything stating I was in a final, nothing. I told her I disagree and I would like to listen to the call. She told me they don't do things like that. Any job I've been at if something was said that was against company policy on the phone your manager will pull that call and you both will listen to the call. That did not happen."
