2.9 The top IT management to include the CIO have operations background, rather than IT. This leads them to employ people who have computer science backgrounds, but then prevent them from doing actual technology development. Technical employees are expected to become button pushers (mousers) using overpriced software developed by others.

3.2 Synovus is an evolving company that has made it through the financial storm and is posed to come out as a strong regional bank. There are growing pains currently with a significant amount of trial and error as well as reorganization, but it is a good company with sound leadership. A good place to work especially in the Birmingham area locations.
