1.4The Mahone Group is the most toxic work environment I have ever been a part of. This husband and wife duo doesn't know how to take care of their employees whatsoever and they handle their business very poorly. It doesn't matter if you think (or know) you've done everything right, they will always make sure to let you know how horrible of a job you have been doing. They talk about their employees behind their back practically every day. They have had a turnover of 6+ employees (of their own - not candidates) in the past 7 months alone. You are only safe for a few months before they look to replace you. They don't like keeping the same people around for long and they NEVER like the same employee. If one of them loves you, you better bet that the other one hates you. Steer clear of this place if you know what's good for you!
1.7If you are a recruiter, run from this company. You will never receive commissions or bonuses. You will be released before you receive anything. Extremely hostile work atmosphere. No training given. Micro-managing husband and wife team who snipe and slander each other's in-house hires. You will not be allowed to meet or speak with client hiring managers, ever. Control of all candidates brought in will be taken over by management and this will be the excuse they use to keep you from your commissions and bonuses. There is no work life balance. You WILL be expected to happily work 11+ hour weekdays and on weekends. If you have a sick child that needs care, you will be punished for not being there to work. Do not listen to all of the sickeningly sweet promises they will offer you! Fair warning.
Develop some ethics. Don't make promises you won't keep. And if someone isn't a fit, tell them; don't just ignore them after telling them the opposite.
