"The hospital does well to provide the most up to date equipment for their patients. It does a horrible job in doing the same for their employees. Dated office equipment and processes cause inefficiency and delays. Not to mention, worn out employees by the end of the day, due to all of the additional work needed to complete their tasks. Some coworkers would rather 'play', literally all day than do actual work. This leads to low morale for those actually working. Think "Romper Room'"
"I have been employed as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Kansas as part of my thesis research. My employer is my research advisor and she is a treat to work with. There are no opportunities of growth in this position since it is as far as you can go. The compensation is not the greatest but this is what you expect when you are a student at a university. There is a meager amount of opportunities for students and it is best to get in touch with a professor and make your case to see/create any future opportunities."
"I've worked here for a couple of years now and I just got my first raise, it was a 2 dollars per hour increase."
"I have been at ITTC since I started work on my PhD. I love the research I do and the people I work with. My hope is to pursue a career that will allow me to continue to grow in my field by offering new challenges and opportunity."
"It's a quiet and clean place for doing research. Faculties are very helpful and knowledgeable. But the research facilities are a little out of date."
"I've worked for the center for bioinformatics since 2011."
"I have been working as a TA for the EECS department at University of Kansas for a year and a half now. The experience has been the most satisfying!"
"It's a great place to work. But not a great place to settle down."
"I worked at KU for three and half years. l got a lot of improvement and I like it very much."
