1.6Giving a 1-star is overrating this company - do not work here no matter how desperate. They make big promises and don't live up to them. You pay all your expenses and if something starts to sell good they lower the commission rate. They give you a scanner to do inventory and charge you insurance for it. But even worse - they cheat their customers. We were told to load up an order and send it to a customer even if they didn't order it. Then when they returned it they only got a credit with the company but the salesperson got docked in commission for the return. They also tell us to place orders in stores that have a warehouse account and bill them, the company also bills the warehouse account and they get double the money. The person that left before me filled his entire customer base with products and when I took over the territory I had to pay for all returned items - often leaving me with a negative check. This company was the worst mistake I made in my entire 35+ years in sales.
4.1Must be able to multi task in a fast paced environment, but other than that, a great place to work. The company offers flexible hours if needed. They offer a profit sharing trust plan that the company contributes to, which over the years have been very profitable. They offer paid vacation, sick time, holiday pay and yearly bonuses. Been there almost 20 years and have no intention of leaving anytime soon. Great co-workers who some become like family. Overall, a pretty good place to work.
4.8Started working as a salesman here in 2007 even though I hadn't done sales before. Was trained on the company's methods of marketing their merchandise and got to work. I was able to double my territory's volume in one year by selling new products to existing customers and selling new customers. The company comes out with new merchandise to sell every year and I'm still growing the territory. The best part is I get double the normal commission for selling new product and most of the customers are open to try the new stuff.
