3.8I worked for AARP since 2001. I found the mission and vision as an organization in support of social change to be positive and rewarding.
During my tenure there were many changes in ITS. This included four CIO's and three re-organizations of the ITS teams. However, these went smooth even though people were lost during the re-organization.
AARP supports many programs and employees. AARP and the ITS department were named by different publications amount the top 20 places to work multiple times in the past five years.
3.7The company is terrible with acknowledging when a long term employee needs to be terminated. A lot of wasted time and money on employees that have been there for an extensive amount of time and have become complacent and do not produce but sit in their offices and do NOTHING! Also, I feel that they are age discriminatory, if you're younger that is.
2.2Management runs in cliques like highschool kids. You have to be one of their favorites, or an attractive woman to get them to do anything for you. They will preach to you how good of a company they are and all that they will do for you. Don't believe it.
