"Been at Dex Media for less than one year but was very excited to start working for such an established company. Training was paid, extensive and prepared me for my first role as an independent outside sales consultant. My manager was helpful and informative as I learned the ins and outs of the system and everyone on my team is a source of inspiration. Unfortunately, recent decisions at corporate have left me feeling doubtful of the company's future growth so will have to wait and see what happens in 2015!"

Company has good ties to companies like Google and Yelp but needs to work on compensation and fairness in terms of compensation and their employees."

Yellow page companies are losing revenue every year and attempting to make that up with selling internet advertising and trying to hold tight to the print directories. Unfortunately, due to the merger with Super Media, the office is no longer a desirable place to work and will most likely be closed soon."

"Won't pay commissions - they screw the employee at every turn. Felt safer at an insurance company"

"I did not enjoy working directories in outside markets that required lengthy hotel stays."

"Understand that new business is the primary focus above all other sales, so have a strategy for obtaining new business. That, and with all the budget cuts you will be spending a large sum of your time before and after work just doing paperwork."

"It is in a smaller market where many businesses do not see an advantage in marketing. All they care about is their word of mouth business."

"I think they need to develop a strategy that rewards sales reps for successfully selling digital solutions outside of their proprietary systems. Selling an SEO package is more beneficial to Dex and the customer than a listing on a local search engine."

"That the industry took too long to recognize the importance of digital leads generation and online advertising, and continued to pin the company's future on the print product."

"The changing of the guard has happened - its a new era, with a different approach to how to run a successful business. Embrace the change and realize that the 'old' way of thinking is just that - old."
