"I have found that J&R Schugel of New Ulm, MN scrubs negative comments from the internet in order to make their company look better! That said, the company does have very good equipment and very knowledgeable mechanics to maintain the equipment. I don't believe they pay the mechanics as much as they deserve. Driver pay is ok but one can easily find other companies that pay more. Dispatchers are normal people and as in all companies there are always a couple that will rub you the wrong way. The payroll department has always been good at correcting mistakes. I never had any problems getting paid for the work that I had done. The safety department is always trying new things to improve safety. The latest idea is having cameras in all the trucks. Note that the camera has two sides to it so that it records both the driver and outside in front of the truck. In an accident the safety department can see if the driver was asleep or distracted, or if it was the other vehicle that was at fault. This can save the company big money in a lawsuit if the driver was not at fault. Some of our drivers have quit because they feel like they are being treated like a child having to be watched. Others are covering up the camera lens that points at the driver."
