"What I love about being an NIST It's both the weird types of issues that I encounter, which allow me to add to my skill set and become a better troubleshooter, and consequently better at my job overall.What I hate about being an NIST There's no specializing. No growth beyond what you're exposed to. If one does not seek this growth from within, it will catch up with you sooner or later and put one at odds against the number of candidates out there seeking employment."

"VP of IT department has no idea of the scope of each position yet feels he has room to critic it and grade it 100%."

"Create org charts to illustrate responsibilities instead of ust blindly assigning work."

"Not a whole lot. It pays the bills for now."

"Don't do it unless you are on the verge of being homeless or are interviewing for a back office position. The customer facing jobs are dead ends with too many Chiefs. AVOID."

"Management is too concerned with their own jobs, not mine. I mean nothing to the company. Their loyalty to me despite the fact that I am one of the top performers on the team and have not gotten a raise in 2 years has dropped to zero."

"Make more of an effort to make the employees feel like they matter to the company."

"I like the fact that I can work in a learning environment where most people seem focused on their goals."
