"I have worked on and off for Carmike Cinemas for 5 years. Mainly a part-time job for extra spending cash. I have worked all positions except general manager. Being both a customer/employee I have seen all sides. Overall, Carmike is a FOR profit co. so all the big guys get the cash. All other workers get minimum with no benefits. A very large turnover rate for all staff because they can find better jobs with better pay. Even when I was working full time managing, I saw the sorry state corporate took on the employees beneath them. They discourage spending money on any improvements in the overall building and employee training. I eventually left management because you have to love and take pride in your job and after so many years of trying to improve everything with no budget because quite difficult and stressful to my physical/mental health. A pro: it is a good first time job. You will learn time management, money skills, and multi-tasking. But it is hard to work for a company when so many of the guests already dislike the establishment. I love MHK, I have lived here my whole life. I just wish corporate could see how much potential this theater has and put their heart into improving it."

"I did not like how the company handle there depsoit drops at night leaving it up to the closing Mananger to drop by his self"
